Celebrate 60 Years at DOTVW - Cranbourne VIC

This year marks to 60th anniversary of the release of the Volkswagen Type 2 - the venerable Kombi.

The VW Club of Victoria, which is nearly as old, will be celebrating this notable event by making the Kombi/Transporter the centre of the annual Day of the Volkswagen at the Cranbourne Racecourse, on the south east edge of Melbourne, on Sunday 15 November.

Last year, thanks to Brian Reed, the shambles of the previous years was overcome and we were allocated a dedicated display area for the Syncro. This worked very well and we had, from memory, eight Syncros. We should be able to better that this year, particularly given the occasion. There will be a video setup and a lot of big pics on display. As with last year, I will do vehicle placards and individual nametags for everyone attending,

As we did last year, we plan an overnight on Saturday at the Tooradin caravan park and convoy up to Cranbourne next morning. Because the Tooradin caravan park books out very early, we need to know asap how many to book for.

So, let's get organized and put on a top show.
